Why Accuracy Matters?
  • LiDAR Precision We don't just use tape measures. Our LiDAR scanning captures millions of data points, ensuring your "As-Builts" are accurate within 1/8th of an inch, preventing costly "surprises" during construction.

  • Faster Project Start Architects and Engineers spend less time measuring and more time designing. We provide the clean, organized CAD files they need to hit the ground running.

  • Complete Confidence Whether you are planning a simple room addition or a complex second-story renovation, starting with a perfect digital twin of your home ensures your permit plans are based on reality.

Common Questions

“Why can’t I just use the original blueprints from when the house was built?”

“How long does the LiDAR scanning process take at my house?”

“Do these drawings guarantee my permit will be approved?”

Most homes undergo small changes over the decades - settling foundations, previous unpermitted renovations, or slight deviations during original construction. LiDAR scanning captures the actual current state of the building. Starting with "perfect" data prevents your architect from having to redesign mid-project because a wall wasn't exactly where the old paper plans said it was.

For a typical single-family home in LA or Orange County, the on-site scanning usually takes 1 to 2 hours. It is non-invasive and much faster than traditional hand-measuring. We capture millions of data points in minutes, meaning we spend less time in your hair and more time at the desk producing your high-accuracy DWG files.

While As-Built drawings are the required first step for most permits, they document the existing conditions. You will still need a structural engineer (like us!) or an architect to create the proposed design plans based on these drawings. However, having high-accuracy LiDAR as-builts significantly reduces "corrections" from the city plan-checkers later on.
